7 Current Teadora Things

  1. Teadora took a few more steps tonight. She actually waddled over to me without falling or even losing her balance. Oh, and she always laughs when she’s getting started, like the whole thing is just so hilarious. Walking! What a silly thing to do, mama. Continue reading

Walking Girl

It took her so long to start crawling, I never thought she’d take her first steps only a month later.

Teadora was scooting along the couch, trying to get to me. She’s been pulling up and side-stepping the furniture for the past 3 months, so we knew she’d take off soon. Continue reading

My Daughter, the Crawler

Teadora FINALLY started crawling on Sunday. I was a little worried. At her 9 month appointment a week ago, the doctor (lovely, caring woman that she is) told me she was surprised that Tea wasn’t mobile yet. She even mentioned physical therapy if Tea didn’t start soon.

Fear mongering. That’s what it was.  Continue reading

Party Wagon

Did I mention how much I love our neighbors? We have about 10 young families living right by us with babies about Teadora’s age. Little Details

Just thought it might be nice to record of few details of Teadora’s young life. Not milestones, just things we thought were cute:

  1. I sat Teadora in front of the mirror yesterday while I got ready. She was instantly enamored with herself, smiling, chuckling, and jabbering. I looked away for a second to put on another coat of mascara, and when I looked back, she was licking and nuzzling the mirror. “Are you giving yourself kisses, Tea?” I asked. She smiled and leaned in for another kiss. I wish I had my camera. Continue reading

Colors Colors

I’ve decided I want to stop living like a fresh-out-of-college newlywed in terms of my house decor. I’m tired of using a broken recliner that’s decades old and leaking blue leather on the floor. I’m tired of curtain-less windows. I’m tired of bare walls. I want my home to feel like home. We’ve tried to make it cozy (mostly through my parents’ insight and generosity), but it just doesn’t feel quite like my own space—it’s not quite who I want to reflect. Continue reading

My New Old Cut

I got my hair cut for the first time this week since Teadora was about 5 weeks old. That’s a sufficient time to let your hair get nice and snaggly, don’t you think?

Time for something new and different and worth caring about again.
